The TRC grant provides Teacher Mentors with intensive professional development (100 hours between May 1, 2015 and July 31, 2016) in addition to 12-24 hours of professional development, mentoring and support to cadre members on the Teacher Mentor's campus. To form an immersion campus and maximize the impact of the collaborative all teachers at the targeted grade level for a campus must be either Teacher Mentors (minimum of one) or cadre members, these campuses get more sub days and the opportunity to attend more training. For the 2015-2016 cohorts we are focusing on 6th grade Math, Algebra, 8th grade Earth and Space Science, and Biology. Teacher Mentors must teach one of these grade level/subjects.

Registration fees and some of the substitute costs for Teacher Mentors are provided FREE!! Cadre members receive 12 hours of free registration to science (or math if their teacher mentor is a math teacher) workshops at Region 13. In addition immersion Cadre members will also receive some sub funding. All teachers are provided with resources and materials to use in the classroom.
