Greetings principals, assistant principals, central office administrators, and teacher leaders! Welcome to Region 13's Local Leadership Services. In partnership with several of our departments, we provide specialized programs, workshops, and products to support you in your daily work. Whether this is your first year as a school principal or your twentieth year as an instructional coach on your campus, we offer programs to deepen your practice and expand your leadership skills. Follow the links and workshop listings to learn more, or read on below for a few highlights.
Principals and Assistant Principals:
Are you a new principal or assistant principal that needs to be certified as a T-TESS appraiser in your district?
You'll need to take both T-TESS and AEL (unless you previously had ILD) in order to be certified. Not to fear- we're offering both over the summer. Check out the quick links and workshops sidebars to see upcoming dates. A complete listing of all the programs we offer for appraisers can be found by following the appraisal link on the sidebar.
Are you planning summer PD for your staff?
Let us help with Region 13's Resource Navigator! Did you know all of our workshops are coded to match the T-TESS domains they support? You can search our catalog by domain and indicator by following this link:
Our department offers training for instructional leadership teams, and can work with you to build custom events that best meet your needs.

Central Office Administrators & Teacher Leaders:
For 2018-2019, Community of Leaders will kick off again in the fall.
If you are an aspiring principal or superintendent, please visit our certification program pages to learn more. Applications are now being accepted for our summer 2018 cohort!
We asked Region 13's Data & Accountability Specialist, Jonthan Delgado, to tell us all about the new A-F Accountability Ratings for 2018 in under 15 minutes. Jonathan gives us an overview in simple, clear language and highlights key differences between the new and current system. He also offers his thoughts on how innovative educators can communicate with staff and families about the changes, and get an edge by maximizing growth for every student. If you want even more access to specialists like Jonathan, join us at our upcoming Community of Leaders meeting on Wednesday March 21st, 2018, when more than twenty of our experts will be on hand to answer your pressing questions!
