Special Education Public Input Meeting
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) asks all 20 Texas Education Service Centers to annually conduct Special Education Public Input and Information Meetings. Region 13 is hosting three meetings this year to better serve its Stakeholders.

The meetings across the state serve the following purposes:
To provide an opportunity for Stakeholders to give input on topics related to selected Indicators of the State Performance Plan (SPP)
To provide input to ESCs to help guide development of planning for regional improvement activities related to selected topics
To provide input to the TEA to help guide improvement planning within the State on the selected topics based on analyzing trends reported from all twenty regions.
Input will be requested for the following questions:
To help ensure positive transition outcomes for students graduating from high school, what information or assistance do parents need?
How can schools and families work together to incorporate positive behavioral interventions and supports to reduce the rates of suspensions and expulsions of students with disabilities?
What approach can be taken to ensure that students, parents, and schools receive vital information on agencies providing transition services?
