Behavior Coach Endorsement Program

Region 13 has offered the Behavior Coach Program since 2003. The Behavior Coach Endorsement Program is a yearlong program running from September through July. Our program is an intensive 240 hours of training for administrators, counselors, teachers, and paraprofessionals who wish to become a behavior specialist. Classes take place on the 1st and 3rd Monday from 6:00-9:00 in the evening and on the 3rd Saturday from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. If class falls on a holiday or holiday weekend, adjustments will be made to the schedule. This schedule runs from September-May. Participants will have 5 days of training over the summer and a book study to complete.

All classes will be held via Zoom until further notice.

This program focuses on a multi-tiered system of behavior supports, as we spend the 240 hours training you in the following topics:

  • Whole school behavior interventions and preventions.
  •  Intensive interventions for students with significant challenges.
  • Best Practice models of behavior and discipline.
  • Multi-Tiered Systems of Support include Social Emotional Learning, Restorative Practices, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, Trauma, and Mental Health.
