A Dyslexia Lending Library is available through Region 13 Education Service Center as a valuable resource for classroom teachers, special educators, dyslexia specialists, Academic Language Therapists, parents, paraprofessionals, principals, and other professionals working with children with dyslexia and related disorders.

Dyslexia Library Entry Portal

The library catalog is now available on-line. A search can be made by title and by author. A new feature is the keyword search.

Notes about the Keyword Search

  • At this time only one word may be placed in the keyword box.
  • For example, if you were looking for material on "social skills" , the search box will only accept the word "social" or "skills"

Using the Library

  • Search the library for materials of interest to you.
  • The search should return a listing of materials available from the library.
  • Scroll down the list until you find an item you'd like to investigate.
  • Click on the active link in the material's title.
  • You will be presented information about that material.
  • If you would like to checkout this item from the library, click the checkout button found at the bottom of the listing.
  • Complete the Checkout Request form and press the submit button at the bottom of the page.
  • You should receive a confirmation message back from Region 13 within two days unless our facility is closed.

Delivery Methods

Materials from the library are distributed and returned by media mail through the United State Post Office.

If you receive your shipment in a mailing envelope, you will receive a preaddressed, prepaid envelope to return your items to the library. Please make certain that the contents are securely sealed in the return envelope.

If you receive your shipment in a box, please return the items in the same box. Included in the box will be a return address label and a prepaid postage label. For the return to Region 13, please securely tape the box closed and affix the postage label and the address label to the box in the appropriate locations.
