Effective classroom management is a vital part of implementing quality instructional practices in preschool settings. This workshop, Classroom Management that Motivates and Engages Preschoolers, will help you rethink the way behavior is addressed in early childhood classrooms and put strategies into place that can support student with and without disabilities.
Adam Holland, Ph.D. from Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center at University of North Carolina will discuss different options for classroom management and how they can benefit or challenge children with disabilities. In the first part of the session, participants will learn about key theories that drive classroom management. Then, these theories will be applied by discussing strategies for building classroom community, teaching behavior, and designing experiences for children that promote success rather than failure. Time at the end will be allowed for questions about how to apply learning to participants’ specific classrooms and situations.Register Today
