TSCI Application Period

The Texas Superintendents’ Certification Institutes (TSCI) prepares future leaders to meet the evolving challenges faced by schools of the new millennium by redefining educational leadership.  TSCI is a high-quality, comprehensive, certification program designed exclusively to prepare aspiring educational leaders for the superintendency through non-traditional means. The TSCI curriculum is written and facilitated by experienced superintendents and central office staff, and is fully aligned to the TExES test standards and objectives. This program is a collaborative with Region 20.

Target Outcomes:

  • Improve student outcomes by training aspiring superintendents in best practices aligned with the superintendent standards
  • Provide a rigorous and relevant learning experience through a non-traditional program that acknowledges and works alongside practicing educational leaders.
  • Equip TSCI cohort members with the knowledge and practice foundation to successfully master the TExES exam and gain a position in current practice.
  • Create a collaborative network of school leaders that work together as a referral source and peer learning organization.

Audience:
Educational leaders aspiring to become a superintendent who have Texas Principal or Mid-Management Certification, master’s degree, and a minimum of three years’ campus or district-level experience.

Program Cost:
$6,700
This includes registration, application, training, and all online module and face-to-face class costs.
