  • Medical Insurance - Region 13 contributes "Employee Only" monthly premium cost on select medical plans for full time employees. Part time employees receive a monthly contribution at the rate of percentage of employment.

Region 13 employees contribute to Social Security and pay into the Teacher Retirement System (TRS). For more information about TRS, visit their website at http://www.trs.state.tx.us/.

Vacation/Personal Leave

Region 13 provides twelve (12) vacation days, five (5) state personal leave days, and five (5) local personal leave days each fiscal year to full-time employees. Part time employees accrue leave at the rate of percentage of employment. Ten (10) month employees do not earn vacation days.

Sick Leave Bank

Full-time employees also have the option of participating in a sick leave bank for use in the event of an employee’s catastrophic illness or injury.
