Superintendent Resources

Due to recent changes in legislation impacting state assessment and graduation requirements, we are updating the content of our STAAR resources website. To learn more about these changes please, visit our House Bill 5 information page.

Superintendents are often called upon to talk with community groups about hot topics related to education. Below are several resources that superintendents may use to educate the community about the new assessment system, the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR). The first resource is a short video overview of differences between the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) and STAAR. The second resource is a handout that can be used with community groups to help illustrate the growing complexity and rigor required under STAAR. If you have any questions, please contact us.
