What minimum entry requirements are needed for consideration into the Turnaround Leadership Development Program?

  • Online Application (Includes Accomplishment Record Information)
  • Submit Resume and Letter of Interest to leadership@esc13.txed.net
  • Copy of Valid Educator/Administrator Certificate
  • College transcript
  • Three (3) Professional Recommendations forms.  Recommendation forms should include at least 1 from a peer, a supervisor and from a staff member you supervise.  (Forms should be completed electronically and emailed to leadership@esc13.txed.net.)

While there are minimum requirements for application, acceptance into the program is not guaranteed.

Is Turnaround Leadership Development Program a Certification Program?

  • No, it is not.  It is specialized training in turnaround leadership development that helps identify leaders who possess strengths in the skills necessary to lead in turnaround schools, and provides training, coaching and support for greater success in turnaround schools.

Are all applicants who meet the minimum entry requirements accepted into the program?

  • No. There will be a screening process prior to acceptance. The screening will focus on the applicant's skills in relation to turnaround leadership competencies, as well as references and accomplishment record and interviews. The turnaround program is for educators passionate and serious about work in low-performing schools and with skills and strengths in turnaround leadership competencies.
